We offer ‘Stilte in de Stad’ (Silence in the city) in the chapel of the Capuchin Friars every 2nd week on Thursday evenings.. A place to sit with open hands for a bit. Open hands to let go of your worries and to receive new rest and inspiration in the silence. We will practice some spiritual exercises together: With silence, music, bible meditation and other (ancient) forms of christian spirituality. This will be in Dutch or English (depending on the attendants). We will offer translation when necessary so that you can follow along.

Welcome to join! (Is this new to you? We would love for you to come and just have a look!). After the meditation there is time to chat and have a drink.

Do you join us?

We will all gather at the door of the monastery (check the sign at the door) and go in together. No need to sign up, just be there at 19h.30h

Practical information

The Monastery has a long driveway. You can ride up to the building and lock your bike to the fence. A bit to the right you will see a door (with the number 165 next to it) and you can ring the bell. Anneriet will open the door for you! :-)

You can reach it by bike, foot, car or bus (bus 8 to Het Laar Oost, stop: Paterstraat). In case you come by car you can drive into the driveway, at the end at the right you find the parking.

COVID: We ask you to only come when you have no complaints.

In case you have a question: feel free to contact Anneriet (annerietboonen@gmail.com)!
